Every year here we produce a holiday card to send out to our friends and business associates. Some years the entire studio pitches in to create the card art, other years we use images straight out of the style guide. This year I thought we should do something special, namely to get Peter Laird off his duff and come up with an illustration. ;) Pete was enthused to get the "assignment" and wanted to do something out of the ordinary - no group shots, no Mikey in Santa hat, etc. The result - the turtle head door knocker shown here in black and white - breaks out of our traditional card imagery while capturing the spirit of the holidays. Pete then suggested that colorist Eric Talbot add in snow effects... and voila. There'll be one more color version before going to press, which I'll post as soon as it's finished.
