Here are the first two (pre-lettered) pages by artist Steph Dumais for Tales of the TMNT #41. The story, featuring an older Leonardo, is my last scheduled issue of Tales.
I've been suffering major turtle creative burnout since the spring, which I attribute, at least in part, to the movie or, more accurately, to the fact that I "re-wrote" the movie script nearly a half-dozen ways (two different novelizations, two fumetti [screen grab] versions, one comic book adaptation), came up with three of the five comic book prequels, and scripted several tie-in childrens books for Simon and Schuster. And all in a very short period of time. I really think it did me in. I'll still help Dean Clarrain out with The Forever War trade, and possibly script the third part of the COWboys-TMNT trilogy, but aside from those... can't honestly say (especially since there's no promise that Mirage Publishing will continue beyond 2008).
